New print

I'm real happy with this one....
It was "painted" in photoshop.  The figure was painted on top of a photo (which was posted previously on Noose)
I'm gonna have it printed BIG...because I CAN!! and because there's lots of tiny details. (Title: "The Cold Genius")

OOhh its soo awesome! Photos NEVER do your work justice, it doesn't show the layers and how magic it is when you walk by or shift your gaze.

Absolutely insane. Currently have it up as my desktop, so's I can stare at the snowflakes.

Un capolavoro! I always thought that there should be a story in each snowflake. You prove it. Also, the Lord be praised for six-sided symmetry. What if snow flakes were square or triangular?

how long time wise in total from beginning to completion? and how many layers glass plating? it will help me wrap my brain around it a little bit. Your techniques amaze me.

Hi all and thank you !

This image is a PRINT--not a glass piece.
It was done almost entirely by painting in photoshop--which has layers--just like my glass...but they aren't really the same.

The glass piece of the same image is about 2/3rds done and I will post it soon.

This is beautiful. You're the Snow Queen. Do you use Photoshop to create your snowflakes, or Illustrator, or do you do them some other way - like blowing a North wind across a fat cloud :)

It would be magic if we could have a snowflake mastercless one day. But we'll have to take care that we don't get a splinter of glass in our eye, or we'll be sucked into a world of snow and glass never to return.

Jx--
I shall do a snowflake demo--whatta great idea!
But the photoshop ones are generated very differently that the glass ones!
Which would your prefer? I can do both, actually...

Glass, glass, glass please! Though I'd imagined you'd use the Photoshop snowflakes as patterns or templates for your glass ones. It's snow-covered here today, for the second time in a week. Very unusual in this part of the world. I just listened to the Klaus Nomi 'Cold Song' and now-ow-ow I ha-a-ave to dri-i-ink some sou-ou-oup.
