Goodness me, as a painter I have to say that those colours are magnificent and so vivid. I'm especially digging that dude's head on the right above the monks, the layering of the blue and orange - so good! This is one of those times when I feel defeated looking at your work because I know paint can't produce those same colour harmonies... That's just cause paint absorbs light rather than radiating it I suppose!
Anyway, as always everything's looking gorgeous.
thanks so much!
The glass, of course, does have different properties from oil paint. But oil paint has its own thing going for it!!
That blue orange head was really off the cuff--not something I would ordinarily do!
Have you tried stained glass, Edwina L?

It'll be exciting to see the scene around the blue/orange fellow develop, see how he reacts when he's got some more neighbours.
I haven't had the chance for any technically correct stained glass, but in wake of your demos ect. I made a piece of bastardised, ghetto stained glass, using two pieces of window glass, damar varnish and oil paint - the colours are quite good but it looks so scrappy. I'm actually from the Australian National University (I mention that cause I know you were here in May-ish) and applied to do an elective course in the glass workshop. I hope they let me in so I can make proper stained glass and not more painty abominations...!
